Skillstreaming is a social skills training program that employs a four-part approach - modeling, role-playing, performance feedback, and generalization - to teach essential prosocial skills to children and adolescents. The skills learned through this program provide students with the ability to navigate their school environment, follow teacher expectations, deal with peer and adult conflict, and learn to deal with their feelings as they grow. The program is intended to help students solve problems that occur in daily life, be assertive in handling situations that cause stress or unhappiness and to increase the chance that they will have satisfying relationships with others.

This volume contains a complete description of the Skillstreaming program, with instructions for teaching 40 prosocial skills. It includes reproducible skill outlines including leader guidelines, homework reports, assessment forms, checklist and handouts. This volume covers the following skill areas: Beginning Social Skills, School-Related Skills, Making Friends, Dealing with Feelings, Alternatives to Aggression, and Dealing with Stress.
