Detailed Description This DVD is like having a personalized hands-on workshop, providing definitions and concrete examples of the ins and outs of a verbal behavior program. Teaching the Tact explains how to teach expressive labels. Creators and behavior analysts Holly Kibbe and Cherish Twigg explicitly define each type of tact and clearly demonstrate how to apply them. This DVD shows you how to adapt each lesson to non-verbal, slightly verbal and verbal students, as well as to signers and readers. As the student masters particular tacts, they then learn how to combine tacts, such as ascribing adjectives to corresponding objects. The DVD shows how to create a more complicated curriculum as the child progresses, integrating prepositions, pronouns, adverbs, emotions and other skills necessary for language acquisition and conversation skills.
